The short version

Our programs are free. We'll help you with everything we've got, but we can't guarantee anyone a job. We are a nonprofit, not a government agency. You need to be 18 or older to use this site and join our programs.

1. Who we are

Urban Connection is a nonprofit organization. We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with any state unemployment office, workforce agency, or other government body. When we point you to government resources (like your state's unemployment program), those are run by the government, not by us.

2. Our programs are free

Every program offered on this website — including The Modern Job Hunt community program, our resources, and our partner cohorts — is free to participants. We will never charge you for anything offered on this site, and no one from Urban Connection will ever ask you for payment to participate.

3. What we can't promise

We offer education, guidance, and community support for your job search. We do our honest best — but we cannot and do not guarantee that you will get a job, an interview, a certain income, or any particular outcome. Hiring decisions are made by employers, not by us.

Information on this site is general education, not legal, financial, tax, or medical advice. For decisions about benefits, taxes, health coverage, or legal matters, check the official government resources for your state or talk to a qualified professional.

4. Who can use this site

You must be 18 years or older to submit forms on this site or participate in our programs.

5. Ground rules

When using this site and our programs, you agree to:

• Give us true information about yourself.
• Treat our team and other participants with respect.
• Not misuse the site — no attempts to break it, spam it, or use it for anything unlawful.
• Use our program materials for your own job search and learning, not for resale.

We may pause or remove access for anyone who breaks these rules or disrupts the community.

6. Our content

The content on this site and in our program materials belongs to Urban Connection. You're welcome to use it personally and share links to it. Please don't copy or republish it as your own.

7. Limits on our responsibility

We provide this site and our programs "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, Urban Connection is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or programs. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law says can't be limited.
